Mechanism of Action:

• Pure Melamine formaldehyde resins (Supercon^®-100), when added to fresh concrete/mortar disperses cement uniformly in the mix. Due to deflocculation action on cement agglomerates, the entrapped water is released and would be available for workability. Melamine resins provide additional cohesive bond with the dispersed cement grains, thus achieving upto 25% high strength.

EPCO KP 100
Concrete Penetrating Corrosion Inhibitor (CPCI)^® EPCO-KP-100 is a hi-tech corrosion inhibition system that works on the Bipolar Inhibition Mechanism (B.I.M.). B.I.M. inhibits corrosion of the steel in concrete at the poles, cathodic & anodic simultaneously. EPCO-KP-100 by virtue of its high vapour pressure & affinity for the embedded metal diffuses through the densest concrete to reach the corroding steel. Upon deposition on the rusted steel substrate, EPCO-KP-100 molecules prevent further reaction between the steel and chloride/oxygen thus arresting the corrosion process. Application Procedure

• Thoroughly remove the spalled concrete and loose material. Abrade / clean the rusted steel mechanically. Spray EPCO-KP-100 along the exposed concrete surface in the vicinity
• After few minutes wipe the concrete/steel surface with moist cloth to remove residual material from the surface. The inhibitor by now has already penetrated the concrete. Follow up with application of bond coat and subsequently with repair mortar / concrete / plaster
• In case of application for preventive maintenance, abrade the concrete surface mechanically to remove loose particles, incrustations, residual oil, grease etc. Remove existing paint if the surface is already painted, by abrading
• Spray EPCO-KP-100 over entire concrete surface.
• Keep the container tightly closed in a cool place. Wear safety goggles during spraying

Dosage Rate: 4 sq.mt./lt. Spray repeatedly over the area as to dose the required quantity. Dense concrete may require repeated application, while porous substrate would absorb immediately.  

EPCO^®KP-350 + EPCO^®HP-350 epoxy mortar is a three-component system with non-shrink and high mechanical strength properties. Application Procedure

• Mix Part A(EPCO^®KP-350) and Part B (EPCO^®HP-350) in the ratio of 2:1 by weight in a clean plastic container
• Stir thoroughly for 5-10 minutes so as to achieve a uniform mix
• Add component C-Graded Quartz filler slowly and mix thoroughly to achieve a uniform mortar mix
• The mortar (A+B+C) after mixing shall be used within 30 minutes hence it is ideal for mixing small quantity at a time
• Before application of mortar the surface to be primed with bond coat of KP-350:HP-350 neat epoxy coating (Part A:Part B in 2:1 by weight)
• It is important to clean, degrease and abrade the substrate thoroughly before applying the bond coat using mechanical wire brushes

Molith MC SILVER
Free flow, shrinkage compensated, high strength microconcrete Molith^® MC SILVER is a free flow, shrinkage compensated, single component micro concrete used in high volume repairs of concrete structures. Application Methodology:

• All areas of application shall be free from oily residues, dust and loose particles
• Corroded reinforcement shall be cleaned thoroughly and treated with anti-corrosive coating Feovert^® & IPNet^®-RB
• The substrate to be treated shall be wetted with clean water (Saturated surface dry condition) prior to placement

Mixing:

• Use 25kgs of Molith^® MC SILVER bags once opened. Pour mixing water gradually into Molith^® MC SILVER in a standard mixer until required consistency is achieved. Using planetary mixer is desired for optimum performance. For 25kgs mix water requirement will be typically 3.0 to 4.0 ltrs. For larger volumes use concrete mixer

STELLYNCrystalline Integral Waterproofing Admixture Unlike any other organic admixture STELLYN is a hydraulic waterproofing compound and being inorganic fully compatible with cementitious materials The cementitious matrix has lot of capillary voids in concrete. These are responsible for leakage as well as deterioration at a later stage once the water pressure in the capillaries build up The inorganic chemical group in water STELLYN will react with water and insoluble crystalline products are generated throughout the capillary pores of concrete This crystalline product is highly resistant to water and perform very well even under extreme conditions such as pressure or aggressive chemicals attack Application:

• STELLYN can be added to into concrete either in batching plant or mixing trucks as per the dosage by consultant
• It is recommended that STELLYN is added into batching plants lastly into concrete and through mixing for 5 to 10 minutes is envisaged
• The amount of water to be determined only after carrying out mix since STELLYN also has water reduction property along with crystallisation
• Water is an important agent to form crystalline process. Initially water will access to concrete through porous portion of concrete. STELLYN will then react with water and crystallisation process initiates 

POWRTHROWSustained Release Caplet for Corrosion Protection of Existing RCC Structures The reduction of service life of any RCC structure is basically due to corrosion of rebar. This process is very severe when structures are exposed to marine or chemical atmosphere. Powrthrow is an unique solution for maintaining the integrity of existing RCC structure from corrosion of rebar. By introducing Powrthrow into the concrete structures, the rate of corrosion of rebar reduces significantly & the release of active ingredient is over a considerable period of time. METHOD OF APPLICATION

• Drill 20mm holes into the concrete to a depth of 25mm and insert the Powrthrow caplets into it. Seal it off with EPCO^®-1010
• Spacing of Powrthrow caplets can be,
  For Columns - 1 unit per RMT from 2 opposite faces in staggered fashion
  For Beams - 1 unit RMT from 2 opposite faces in staggered fashion
  For Slabs - ln 1mt x 1mt grid insert 4 units
• Seal it off with EPCO^® -1010

Note: For site specific applications the spacing can be designed separately  

MonopolHigh Molecular Weight Polymer (LV Grade) Grout Monopol^® is a low viscosity high molecular weight thermoset polymer. Due to its low viscosity, cracks & honeycombs in concrete are filled upto maximun possible depth of concrete. Application Procedure

• Surface must be clean, free from grease, oil and loosely adhering particles
• Add Monopol^® Part A1 (additive) strictly in Monopol^® Part A at specified proportion depending upon atmospheric temperature & mix it vigorously
• This mix can be stored for a maximum 7 days in appropriate storage condition (in cool, dry places away from direct sunlight, heat, smoke, flames. etc)
• At the time of application, add 0.9 kg (Mix of Part A and A1) with Part B 0.1 kg (1 tube). Mix it thoroughly preferably with mechanical stirrer
• Application to be done by injecting / flooding / pouring within pot life
• Curing in air for 24 hours after use
• Strictly avoid its use in confined, unventilated areas due to its pungent odour. Sparking, smoking, smokes from high heat, exposure to fumes is strictly prohibited in the application zone

Note: Mix only the quantity which can be used within the pot life. 

PC GROUTHigh Performance Antiwashout Grout PC GROUT is supplied as a pure ready to use dry powder. Only specified amount of water is to be added to produce free flowing grout. Water required per 30 kg bag is approx. 12 ltrs to 16 ltrs. Application Procedure

• Waterproofing: Excellent grout in waterproofing of concrete, RCC. Most effective in sealing water path, honeycombs, cracks, filling of cavities, pores etc. Its antiwashout characteristics restrain bleeding of grout significantly

• Sealing of honeycombs & cavities: All the water paths in concrete matrix shall be sealed effectively if proper method of grouting is employed using suitable grouting equipment

• Strengthening of RCC: RCC structures which require strengthening shall find excellent solutions in PC Grout since it shall bond with concrete thoroughly

Monopol 456 S
Silane Siloxane Penetrative Primer for Concrete and Masonry Monopol^®-456-S consists of reactive hydrophobic silane-siloxane with a very high degree of penetrative action. It works by penetrating into the pores of concrete and reacting with the existing water vapour to form hydrophobic polysiloxane lining to the pore capillaries. Application Procedure

• Thoroughly clean the substrate with the coarse wire brushes and wipe the dust, cementatious incrustation etc with a clean cloth or compressed air. Remove curing compound grease etc using clean water and detergents
• Apply by brush or spray
• Avoid application during high winds and hot hours especially in summers
• Subsequent coating can be applied immediately
• Keep the container away from direct heat or sunlight

CORROSEALCORROSEAL is a two pack polyamide cured air drying epoxy compound. CORROSEAL has excellent resistance to corrosion. Application Procedure

• Mix CORROSEAL Base & Curing agent in prescribed proportion by volume and allow it to remain for 10 minutes before application. Apply 2-3 coats of Corroseal with a time interval of 24 hours between coats

EPIBOND-21-LPBonding Agent with long pot life EPIBOND-21-LP is used to bond fresh concrete to concrete that is fully cured. EPIBOND-21-LP will give monolithic bond capable of transmitting high stresses. In addition, EPIBOND-21-LP possesses excellent water and alkali resistance and has long tackfree time of 120 minutes. This would help in laying concrete/mortar even after 120 minutes of application of bond layer. Application Procedure

• To obtain good adhesion it is necessary to have a clean and sound substrate, which can be obtained by grinding, wire brushing, chipping, sandblasting, etc.
• Mix EPIBOND-21-LP thoroughly in the prescribed proportion and apply on the clean and sound substrate
• Apply concrete / cement plaster / gunite on the tacky EPIBOND-21-LP layer which would be achieved approximately after 30 minutes of application and within two hours
• Best results are obtained when w/c ratio of the new concrete is as low as practicable
